Professional practice:
1991: Graduated from N.T. University. Batchelor of Arts degree ( majoring in Fine Arts )
1992: Fine Art, History Technician, Fine Arts, N.T. University
1992-96: Part time Lecturer and Technician Printmaking Department N.T. University, during this period, Gohier, George Watts & Leon Stainer established the first four years of the N.T. University Aboriginal print workshops which consequently became Northern Editions in 1996. Franck collaborated on approximately 150 limited edition prints/projects during this period for various communities.
1995: Field trip with George watts, Leon Stainer and Kevin Kelly of Warringarri arts Kununurra W.A. This trip involved accompanying senior Warmun Community Artist Rover Thomas back to his birthplace at Well 33 on the “Canning Stock Route”, Great Sandy Desert, W.A.
1996-97: Established an Art programme in collaboration with Correctional Services and 24HR Art for Aboriginal inmates at Berrimah Prison. The programme is still maintaining high outcomes and was the catalyst for a similar programme at Alice Springs Prison, which is also continuing under the current auspice of “Ending Offending”.
1997-2002: Establishing Red Hand Prints with Shaun Poustie as an open access studio that offers expert printmaking tuition for the community and a professional editioning programme to numerous aboriginal communities throughout the Kimberley’s, the Tiwi Islands, Arnhem Land and Central Australia. Red Hand produced over 200 collaborative, limited editions. They also designed and produced around 100 community based, limited edition posters during this period that where distributed “gratis” to the community of Darwin.
1997-2002: Freelance printmaking lecturer for Batchelor Aboriginal institute. Travelling to numerous remote indigenous communities.
1999: Accompany Aboriginal Tiwi Artists, Janis Murray and Pedro Woanamerri, to Wurzburg , Germany for an opening of Tiwi Artworks endorsed by the Australian consulate to Germany and the Wurzburg ministry of Arts and Culture.
2003: Lecturer in painting and printmaking, Casuarina Senior College, Darwin.

Delivering a public forum for “Artist Week” about early days establishing the Art programme at Berrimah Prison. Fannie Bay Gaol, Darwin.
Teaching printmaking skills to inmates at Berrimah Prison, Darwin and juvenile detainees at Don Dale Centre, Darwin. This project culminated in the production of four limited edition posters at Red Hand for Correctional Services “Ending Offending” programme.
Accompanying Artists Pedro Woanamerri and Janis Murray to Wuerzburg, Germany for an exhibition of Tiwi artworks as a representative of Jilamara Arts & Crafts. At this exhibition Olivia Hittmann and myself liased between the Tiwi Artists and people such as the Wuerzburg minister for Arts & cultural affairs and the Ambassador for Australia in Germany. We also assisted in cultural interchange between the Tiwi Artists and local radio, newspaper & television media.

Judge for “Save the Spirit” art programme for S.O.C.O.G. at Leanyer Primary school Darwin. The winner from Leanyer also became the national winner and his artwork was utilised by S.O.C.O.G. for promotion of the Olympic games and the “Save the Spirit” theme.
Print making workshop with senior Warmun community Artist Queenie Mckenzie to produce a limited edition print for S.O.C.O.G to raise funds for Australian Olympiads. A multi plate etching was selected from over twenty images she produced in a one week period. Red Hand Prints Darwin.

Guest Judge for “Rights on show 96” an annual human rights exhibition organised by Darwin Community legal service.
Independent print making workshop at Nguiu, Bathurst Island. Re-editioning and repairing 40 historical relief prints which were executed in the early years of Bathurst mission, particularly the works of Tiwi men Bede Tungutalum & Giovanni Tipungwuti. These works were carved on linoleum, masonite, plywood & packing crate timber. This culminated in an exhibition at the Sydney Museum of contemporary Art called “Tiwi Prints-a commemorative exhibition 1969-1997” for the “Festival of the Dreaming” programme.
Co-ordinator of the Arts programme for “Correctional Services of the N.T.” Berrimah Prison, Darwin.
“Inside Art Out”, pilot project. Curating and co-ordinating an exhibition for Aboriginal inmates at Berrimah prison, Darwin, culminating in an exhibition of works at Raintree Gallery, Darwin. Senior Aboriginal men from around the “Top End” worked along side the Artists to teach them the appropriate way to paint their “dreamings” and to instruct them on their cultural responsibilities. The success of this initial project established an on going cultural/arts programme at Berrimah prison and was the catalyst for a sister project which is also continuing at Alice Springs prison.
Trainee Curator for Art Back Netts N.T. Curating an exhibition of four local, Darwin printmakers. This developed into a show called “4x4” which travelled to remote communities to bring about an awareness of print media & techniques to isolated Artists and audiences.

Field trip with George watts, Leon Stainer and Kevin Kelly of Warringarri arts Kununurra W.A. This trip involved accompanying senior Warmun Community Artist Rover Thomas back to his birthplace at Well 33 on the “Canning Stock Route”, Great Sandy Desert, W.A.
Printmaking workshop at Marallem, Legune Station N.T. teaching Lino-cut techniques to local children. Maralem is an Alcohol & Drug rehabilitation community 80 Km. North of Kununurra and is funded from money generated by Warringarri Arts. The elders instructed children about their stories and the children interpreted this into print imagery.
“Kununurra Youth Festival”. This independant project involved teaching relief printing and etching techniques to school children from Kununurra, Wyndham and local Aboriginal outstations.
